      Open-source, community-driven project for profiling browsers
      Goals:
      • foster browser innovation
      • be a resource for web developers
      Based on UA Profiler

      • more of a matrix than a benchmark
      • reproducible results – boolean vs. milliseconds
      • extensible framework – easy to add new tests
      • historical trends – uncover regressions
      • zero operating costs
      • results are crowdsourced!
    4. crowdsourcing
      Users running the tests is key for Browserscope's longevity, accuracy, and currency.
      • no dedicated test resources – project runs in perpetuity
      • wide variety of real world test conditions
      • aggregating results reduces biases
      • new browsers show up immediately
