BTECCreative Media Production – Advert Analysis Name:____Sophie Carey______________ Name of Product Visual / Text Music / Sound FX Audience Meaning / Message John west ‘Bear Fight’- 2000 -Documentary style- john west fighting a bear for a bit of salmon -The only textwe get is the name of product and the actually product itself. -Voice over -No music -Hear sound effects -Man screaming and making noises -People who like salmon -shoppers (mum) -They do all the hard work and we just get the best bit of their work. (The food). Honda ‘The Cog’- 2003 - We see loads of difference car parts arranged in a domino effect. Resulting in making up the car. - No real text apart from ‘accord’ - And the logo with the slogan ‘Honda’ ‘The Power Of Dreams’ - Sound effect of car parts moving – clinking, rolling, squirting. - There was a song playing = ‘another one bites the dust’ by ‘Queen’ - VO- ‘isn’t it nice when things just work’ -Honda lovers -Families- big car -Older people - car owners - things just run smoothly -It’s going to work - hey have taken so much time on this, which means it will work really well (work well) - reassures the public that they will be safe and the car won’t break down. Skittles ‘Midis touch’- 2007 - An old man in an office - work partner and a viewer - everything that he touches turns to ‘Skittles’ ‘Touch the rainbow. Taste the Rainbow’ - Office noises- generic noises (people talking, phone…etc.) - Skittles falling -Kids - adults - People who like Skittles - used humour - It’s a fun product, not to be taken too seriously. - touch the rainbow… taste the rainbow T-Mobile ‘Dance’-2009 - ‘Life’s for sharing’ - Flash mob at a train station (public) - A compilation of music and songs. (popular/well known) - People’s reactions – screams, laughing - People who like phones or have a phone - Life is for sharing - This advert will not upset anyone - They captured people taking photos or videos( people where doing what they wanted them to do, which is get their phones out) - Celebrates social media
