3. 3. What is Twitter?

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People write short updates, often called "tweets" of 140 characters or fewer. These messages are posted to your profile or your blog, sent to your followers, and are searchable on Twitter search.

Source: Twitter FAQ

Guevara
 4. 4. Setting up an account

In the full name box, enter your first and last name. Within the username box, come up with a unique twitter name – you will receive a message if the name you select is unavailable. Create a password, enter your email, agree to the terms of service and click on create my account .

Guevara
 5. 5. Settings - Account

From the account settings, you can change your basic account information. You can choose to add a location to your tweets (party, neighborhood, town information). You can also choose to protect your tweets – allow only those you approve to follow your tweets.

Guevara
 6. 6. Settings – Password

If you would like to change your Twitter password, select the password tab at the top of the page. It is a good idea to create a strong password and change it on occasion.

Guevara
