    • 4,646,000 young people of compulsory education age
    • Spanish is the official language
    • Catalán, Gallego, Valenciano y Euskera are other co-official languages

    • Public schools (72.32% of students)
    • Private schools (27.68% of students)
      • Centros concertados (90%); they are funded
      • Centros no concertados (10%); they are totally private

    • Students can repeat a year in Primary Education and twice in Secondary Education
