  5. 5. 73% of Arlington County Residents Would Describe Themselves as “Environmentally Responsible” QG14: Would you describe yourself as “environmentally responsible,” that is, trying not to damage the environment, or preventing environmental damage? Weighted Data 73% Those working in Arlington are slightly more likely than those working outside Arlington to consider themselves as environmentally responsible. Those who live in the J/D Corridor and “Other Areas” are more likely than those living in Shirlington, the R/B Corridor, and Columbia Pike to consider themselves to be environmentally responsible.

  8. 8. <ul><li>In Order to Put These Findings into Context, It Is Useful to Make Comparisons to a National Sample </li></ul><ul><li>In July 2008, as part of an unrelated initiative, SIR, in conjunction with the Boomer Project and BIG Research, conducted a national green survey. </li></ul><ul><li>Some of the questions in the Arlington Green Study replicated the questions in this national survey in order to be able to make accurate comparisons. </li></ul><ul><li>Total of 5,334 responses. </li></ul><ul><li>IMPORTANT NOTE : </li></ul><ul><li>Since the National survey was conducted15 months before the Arlington County Green Survey, differences must be interpreted with caution. </li></ul>
