  • 1. James Gensel and Joe Savattieri Period 9
  • 2.
  • 3.
  • 4.
  • 5.
    • A person could be cloned by taking a donor
    • egg cell and taking out the nucleus. Then use a form of engineering to fuse it with a cell from the person who is to be cloned.
  • 6.
    • Clones of mice had a shorter life span than regular mice, it could be the same for humans.
    • We haven’t cloned humans yet so we don’t even know if it will work because it has only worked with Dolly the Sheep.
  • 7.
    • If you clone yourself for a child it wouldn’t be your child because it is exactly like you and there is no other parent.
    • If you clone someone who has a sex linked trait you are condemned to give that same mutation to that clone.
  • 8.
    • It doesn’t have a soul, humans shouldn’t play god.
    • Someone can use clones for their own selfish needs. For example , using a reproductive clone for spare parts.
  • 9.
    • It would cost a lot of money to clone just one person and the research would cost even more then the actual cloning.
    • “ Abortion, euthanasia, human cloning, for example, risk reducing the human person to a mere object: life and death to order, as it were!”
    • POPE JOHN PAUL II, speech, Jan. 13, 2003.
    • Other than Pope John Paul II, Bill Clinton, Kurt Warner, Mike Sweeney and George W. Bush are all against human cloning.
  • 10.
  • 11.
    • We are against Human Cloning because we feel it is inhumane and unnatural. There should be no government funding for this because the money we would be wasting on cloning we could use to study cancer.
