GEMS ” If you don’t love every student that comes through your door, you won’t be able to teach them.” – Mrs. Smith’s Philosophy of Education Greatest satisfaction as a teacher: “Student success. The kids who excel in art and use art as an outlet, it’s wonderful to be able to provide that for them.” -Ms. Shuler, Elementary Art Teacher
-Communicating with parents or guardians about student learning Teachers call their students’ parents to express concern or to give positive feedback. Newsletters are an effective way to communicate with parents.
What is Teaching? Teaching is more work than I thought. It takes a lot of preparation and skill to get in front of a classroom and teach. Teaching is being confident and taking charge of the classroom. Keeping all of the students’ attention is difficult. When I become a teacher I hope to bring fun and new ideas into the classroom. I want to be every student’s favorite teacher.
