Sterry's presentation explores the relationship between cities and materiality, the changing relationship therein, design and philosophical systems, including biomimetics, how new science, new technology and new thinking presents new models for the city, including her hypothesis Bionic City, which migrates resilience strategies found in ecosystems to the built environment.
