Hundreds of resumes are being fed into your application tracking system (ATS), yet many companies completely ignore that “through your front door” data and look to recruiters to help them find candidates.

Intuit had one case where they had 230 submissions for Director of Customer Care in their system and no one had looked at them. Their online recruiting system is how they’re driving applicants. Even if you don’t know Boolean search techniques, other basic searches will easily help you find the candidates you want to interview, explained Hache.
Qualified candidates are in a company’s system and many don’t realize it because they don’t take the time to actually do the querying to find what they’re looking for. In fact, noted White, sixty percent of people submitted to companies via recruiters are actually already in a company’s systems.
