Problem Identification - Brainstorming The problems identified using the Brainstorming technique were: 1.Unnecessary use of plastic bags 2.Paper wastage 3.Heavy bags 4. Global Warming
•Greenhouse gas emissions, temperature and sea levels are allrising.•The biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions is from energy generation and use•Making changes at home can help change our future.•Energy efficiency is the easiest way to reduce greenhouse gasemissions at home and workplace. We understood this and felt we could make a change thus ProjectSave Energy was concieved.
Why Project Save Energy??1. Save our natural resources2. Energy Conservation3. Cost reduction - cheaper energy bills4. To save environment- Less Greenhouse Gas Emissions5. In every walk of life there are opportunities to save energy - WE FELT WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY6. TOPIC is relevant to our Core Values- Team work and Attitude and our school policy of helping environment7. Gain knowledge8. Solutions are within our reach to implement.9. It is improvement through awareness without any cost and everything to gain but nothing to loose.
The problem we decided to work on wasCREATE AWARENESS ON SAVINGENERGY to reduce GLOBAL WARMINGas 80% of the students voted for it. SAVE OUR EARTH from GLOBAL WARMING

KNOWLEDGE SHARING SESSIONS IGNORANCE TO AWARENESS:What is electricity? How it is produced?Electricity is the most versatile energy source that we have; it is also one ofthe newest. Homes and businesses have been using it since about a hundredyears. It is produced from natural resources like:water gas coal
KNOWLEDGE SHARING SESSIONS IGNORANCE TO AWARENESSWhy should we save energy?1. Energy isn‟t free we pay for it. So wasting energy is the same as wasting money2. To reduce heat production to help to reduce in global warming in a small way3. We should conserve energy because if we use up all of our NON-renewable resources, when we wont have anything to resort to.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING SESSIONS IGNORANCE TO AWARENESS How is Recycling an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment?1. Recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours.2. Recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes.3. Recycled plastic bottle would save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 3 hours.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING SESSIONS IGNORANCE TO AWARENESS1. Why should we use fluorescent bulbs? Compact fluorescent bulbs use 1/4th the energy of regular bulbs, they last 10 times longer, are more cost effective. 1 Compact fluorescent bulb 10 Standard Incandescent Bulbs =
