    17. Not successful cases Sales Outsourcing we contracted a company for doing our direct sales activities but stopped after 3 months mainly due to the lack of performance and strategic direction Hosting we run our own servers in a data center in Switzerland for our Japanese customers, we intend to setup servers in a Japanese data center. Running a „1:1 technology copy“ would keep our running costs low. The search for a Japanese partner to have the same technology setup is more challenging other technologies supported, e.g. CentOS vs. DebianOS communication difficulties, e.g. support for our engineers in Switzerland is only provided in Japanese snowflake | JETRO BIZMATCH @ CEATEC 2009 Page 17
    18. Successful Cases Company established after 3 months preparation relocation, visa, office location, legal setup Cooperation with university for students internship enhance the Japanese documentation, create a printed manual Market conditions match to the market research we did growing potential for open source software, also due to the economical situation. companies search for cost-effective ways. a lot of website production remains still manual demand and increasing interest for enterprise-level web content management system (CMS) Sales through networking activities Growing user & customer base snowflake | JETRO BIZMATCH @ CEATEC 2009 Page 18
