  • 6. Acts 14:23 Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust .
  • 7. We must point people to Jesus
  • 8. 2 Corinthians 9:6 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will reap generously.”
  • 9. We must make disciples
  • 10. What is a disciple? A lifelong learner and follower of Jesus Christ. Is there a difference between a believer and a disciple? …………….YES………………
  • 11. Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
  • 12. of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
  • 13. Gather the new believers
  • 14. What is a church? “Church” = a group of baptized believers having one or more leaders, who gather regularly to grow in obedience to the commands of Christ.
  • 15. Act 2:42-47   42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 Selling their possessions.
  • 16. and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

  • 19. You are a model…. Your presence motivates local believers to step out in faith and do ministry. You are a catalyst that God can use to light a fire in the lives of your national partner.
  • 20. The church multiplies
  • 21. Everything in the world was created to multiply – Adam and Eve, the beasts of the field, the birds in the air, the fish of the sea and every seed bearing plant.
  • 22. You are a model…. Your presence motivates local believers to step out in faith and do ministry. You are a catalyst that God can use to light a fire in the lives of your national partner.

  • 25. A person of peace… Luke 10:1-6 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘peace be to this house’. If a person of peace is there your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in that house, eating and drinking
  • 26. whatever they give you. Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
