  3. 3. Chacateristics • Males crown is black • Females crown deep gray • Both have white face and breast • Back bluish gray • Wings have white edging • Tail short with white corners • Eat upside down • Go head first down trees
  4. 4. Habitat • British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, southern California, Arizona, and central florida • Never see where no trees • Around coniferous and deciduous trees • Really like oak trees
  5. 5. Food sources • Nuts, seeds, spiders, insects, suit, sunflower seeds • Place seeds in crevices of trees or loose bark • Peck at seeds until open • Another way they hide seeds
