We always use Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with other races . Malaysia also celebrates many festivals, such as Chinese New Year , Hari Raya Aidilfitri , Deepavali and more. During these festivals , we will return to our “kampung” and celebrate together . So , we will have long holidays during these festivals . Chinese new year Every year , we have Chinese New Year . Before New Year , my family and I will go back to my father‘s hometown, that is located at Alor Star , Kedah . On new year’s eve , the whole family will gather and have dinner . This is our family reunion dinner , in chinese ,we call it “tuan yuan fan” During new year, we will play with fireworks and fire-crackers . The next day is the first day of Chinese New Year. All the children , young girls or boys will get “angpau” from their parents. “Angpau” is like a red small envelope and parents will put some money into the “angpau” . Before getting the “angpau” , we are supposed to take a bath then change into our new clothes and shoes . We also wish everyone “Happy Chinese New Year”. Traditionally, we visit our relatives or friends . Then , we can get more “angpau” . How do you celebrate the new year in your country??
