  3. 3. What is RefWorks? <ul><li>A web-based product where you can store bibliographic information. The bibliographic records reside on the web </li></ul><ul><li>All bibliographies are formatted in a particular style </li></ul><ul><li>The most common style in college and university is APA (American Psychological Association) & MLA (Modern Language Association) </li></ul>

When exporting citations from databases to RefWorks remember to change the Internet browser settings to allow pop-ups! <ul><li>Firefox </li></ul><ul><li>Go to Tools menu </li></ul><ul><li>Select Options </li></ul><ul><li>Select Content tab </li></ul><ul><li>Uncheck “block pop-up windows” option </li></ul><ul><li>Click “OK” </li></ul><ul><li>Internet Explorer </li></ul><ul><li>Go to Tools menu </li></ul><ul><li>Scroll down to “Pop-up blocker” option </li></ul><ul><li>Select “Turn off pop-up blocker” </li></ul>
