The Alabama Resource Management System, initiated b more
The Alabama Resource Management System, initiated by the Alabama Department of Children’s Affairs, is a way for state and federal agencies, communities, and organizations – particularly in Health and Human Services – to share large volumes of data for supporting programs, grant writing, and resource identification. ARMS gives users means by which they can visualize, analyze, query, and map data over the web without having to have specialized technical skill. This presentation describes the dynamic mapping functionality of ARMS that uses the new ArcGIS Flex API in conjunction with ArcGIS Server to provide fast and easy thematic representation of the massive collection of variables available through ARMS as a web application. less
