      3 ways you can leverage social media to improve SEO:
      Juice up a URL to improve its ranking
      Juice up a URL to improve the link juice it can pass
      Juice up your site to compete in the real-time SEO battleground

      Juice up a URL to improve its ranking
      The idea: once you know what keywords you want to optimize a specific URL for, you can strategize content that will do well in social media…with the understanding that you can alter it later (if need be).
      Examples:
      MSF for “march madness 2010”
      Client for “plumbing accidents”

      Juice up a URL to improve the link juice it can pass
      The idea: if you have a compelling piece of content for social media that does not fit on a page you are trying optimize, post it anyway and use that page to direct link juice to the pages you are trying to optimize.

      Juice up your site to compete in the real-time
      SEO battleground
      The idea: With unified search and ranking factors like QDF (“query deserves freshness”), being present in real-time online conversations gets more important by the day.
