  • 1. Using key words in a sentence. The aliens in District 9 are segregated from the humans. The aliens in District 9 are not allowed to assimilate with humans. District 9 can be seen as an allegory for racial division. A theme of xenophobia runs throughout the film. A social hierarchy exists within the film world where humans, particularly the MNU are dominant and possess and control over those they feel are subordinate.
