    • A Constitutional Conundrum. We agree only on the right to debate it.When I was in grade school, we learned:"We may not agree with what they have to say, but they have the right to say it."Today we learn:"They may not agree with what we have to say, but we have the right to say it."X.The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibitedby it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.Add that to:Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, orprohibiting the free exercise thereof;# 1. A constraint upon Congress. (Powers not delegated to the United States:Powers not prohibited to the states.)Now focus on "nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof."I will be interested to read the spirited debate.Next:Some people believe that the Second Amendment was "intended" to makegovernment "fear the people.""Intended" and "fear the people" in quotes. [Not mine].Did I hear anyone say, "The Arsenal at Springfield"?A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the rightof the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. As Ive said before:"Everybody knows what everybody knows.""Dont bother asking me. You dont want to hear my opinion; you want to hear
    • your opinion."From "The Quotations of Slim Fairview. (c) 2011 Slim FairviewNow, if you will excuse me, I will sit back and enjoy the spirited debate.Regards,Slimhttp://slimviews.blogspot.comhttp://slideshare.net/slimfairviewhttp://eventhecatwinks.blogspot.comCopyright © 2011 Slim Fairviewslimfairview@yahoo.com
