  • @Joe Zammit-Lucia Thanks Joe! Appreciate the thoughts. Awesome! This structure is what's being used by angels and VCs. We cannot claim we invented it. Unfortunately! So far we have not seen a product or service that does not solve a problem. You mentioned Facebook. Personally, I have many friends and family members living in other countries. I suck at writing emails and staying in contact (Big problem). Facebook helps me stay connected and they do it really well. Both my friends and my mom are now both informed and happy. While Apple is always about a new user experience, Steve Jobs talked about the problems. Watch the launch of the iPhone in 2007. A completely new (and much better) user experience but he still talked about all the problems with current smart phones. Thanks again Joe. Tomas

  • Hi there. Nice slide deck. I suggest that you might want to re-thing the structure of "what is the problem" and "what is the solution". While many businesses are focused on solving known problems, others are there to create new markets for which there is no known "problem" but rather an opportunity to provide people with new experiences. It is these businesses that often have the greatest potential. If Facebook were pitching within your framework, what "problem" would they have been trying to solve?

  • @Markus Stefanko Thanks Markus! Appreciate the advice. I would argue it depends on the specific situation. Tomas

  • In the elevator pitch you might want to drop "Hi, I'm XYZ from ABC" as it's irrelevant - go immediately to the problem
