<ul><li>Incas built the city in 15 th century and abandoned it in 16 th century. </li></ul>

<ul><li>An american explorer called Hiram Bingham rediscovered the Lost City of Machu Pichu in 1911.

When he arrived the jungle was everywhere.

He worked hard to uncover the city. </li></ul>

<ul><li>Machu Pichu is in the Andes Mountains in Peru, near of Cuzco.

It's 2.134 m. above sea level between two big mountains. </li></ul>

<ul><li>The Incas built the city on terraces and there were hundreds of stairs and paths connecting the terraces. </li></ul>

<ul><li>The paths connected squares,houses,cemetery. </li></ul>

<ul><li>Incas built their houses from big pieces of stone called granite.
