"Just before Joshua led the nation of Israel across the Jordan, Moses blessed the twelve tribes. Though he began his blessing by blessing the oldest son Reuben first, he did not continue that pattern and bless the youngest son Benjamin last. Instead, he blessed Asher last. The prophetic significance of this action reveals God's plan for the last days. He saved the best blessing for last. He saved the best for us!"

  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Just before Joshua led the nation of Israel across the Jordan, Moses blessed the twelve tribes. Though he began his blessing by blessing the oldest son Reuben first, he did not continue that pattern and bless the youngest son Benjamin last.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Instead, he blessed Asher last. The prophetic significance of this action reveals God's plan for the last days. He saved the best blessing for last. He saved the best for us!
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
The blessing of Asher is divided into five parts. Each part should be prayed and claimed.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
    1. The blessing of harvest. "Let Asher be blessed with children." (Deuteronomy 33:24) Asher's birth represented the end of barrenness.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Pray for a worldwide outpouring of the Holy Spirit and revelation of the name of Jesus! Confess that barrenness is broken. Declare that it is time for evangelism. Pray for an abundant harvest!
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
    2. The blessing of favor. "Let him be acceptable to his brethren." Accompanying the blessing is harvest and unity. The harvest should make us celebrate. The more we celebrate the harvest, the more harvest God can give us. We need favor among men for the Kingdom to grow.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Pray that God will release favor to us. Favor in the midst of our brethren. Favor in our community. Favor on every level of Government.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
    3. The blessing of finance. "Let him dip his foot in oil." (Deuteronomy 33:24) Provision follows vision. God always funds His will. Dipping the foot in oil denotes abundance - more than enough.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Pray that God will release your family, church and organization from the bondage of debt. Pray for financial increase in spite of the recession. Pray for more than enough. It is time to possess the land!
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
    4. The blessing of dominion. "Thy shoes shall be iron and brass..." (Deuteronomy 33:25) Brass shoes denote power and authority over the enemy. It implies security.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
Confess that God has given you the dominion over the power of darkness in your region. Declare that the enemy is under your feet. Expect to overcome. Anticipate victory!
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
    5. The blessing of ever increasing strength. "...as thy days, so shall thy strength be." (Deuteronomy 33:25) This last phrase reverses natural law. Instead of getting weaker as you age, God says you will get stronger. There is both a physical and spiritual application for this.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
As an individual, confess that God is giving you increased strength and health to do His will every day. Corporately, pray that your church will get stronger every day. Pray that the church around the world will experience increase in every way every day.
  • "Prayer for the Blessing of Asher"
These prayers are meant to be starting points. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you apply these promises from God's Word to your life.
