Green Watch PICNIC presentation by Daniel Kaplan - Presentation Transcript
The "vision"
From Fing's "Villes 2.0" (Cities 2.0) programme
Multiply the number of urban environmental sensors by 1,000
Promote people's participation in building sustainable cities
Encourage other sensor networks to share their data
Facilitate the emergence of new knowledge, new services, more informed decisions, new discussions…
The initial experimentation The watch measures Ozone (O3), Noise every few seconds. It carries a GPS and a Bluetooth chip. The phone displays the information in a graphic way (the "Eye"). It transmits the data to the CityPulse platform. The platform displays the data in several ways. It also makes the raw data available.
