Great work on Economics. The name is a misnomer and does not do justice to the subject though.

What are the nationalities of the buddies and how does that relate to the story?

Congrats! This is similar in many ways to a slideshow version of ’An Idiots Guide to Tax Economics’ ~this is definitely meant to be a compliment.

Additionally, would like to say that its both sad and disappointing to see so much negativity in many of the comments. Assume this is primarily due to the political proximity of this topic.

Perhaps said parties feel offended because it is an inconvenient truth. Sure is easier to blame ’the man’, ie, the ’Businessman’ in this story.

Congratulations for the Grand Prize! You deserve it at least for your talent to educate a person like me (one that is unable to calculate his own restaurant bill) about the tax system. It so easy and clear.

Are you really saying that workers don’t pay taxes? So I’m not paying taxes? What have I been paying? Maybe I’m the only worker paying taxes - right?

Get back to how the biz guy, the exec & the worker got rewarded by their respective effort.
The way the drunken maths was described is twisted to distort. The rich need to help the others more, the poor need to help themselves more.
