Value Proposition:Local Population of 10,000 + No Outside Money =20 Local Agriculture Businesses and 70 New Jobs • Map what is there, note what is missing, and model what is possible – Define local population boundaries – Document consumption patterns: what is consumed, how much, and consequences • Build business cases that target a local market – Respond to needs of local population – Focus on metrics of gallons, calories, cubic feet, kilowatts, square feet, etc. • Establish a healthy, sustainable business ecosystem – Group business cases into like kind and value chain clusters on a flows framework – Develop business cases that demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness of flows • Leverage local assets with a community investment portfolio – Utilize multiple capitals to launch and scale business ecosystem businesses – Conduct transactions with multiple mediums of exchange • Strive for 100% participation by community members – Emphasize civic engagement in local governance – a co-op structure – Invest 4 hours per day in exchange for a reasonable quality of life
