1. Strings in Ruby
Strings in ruby are inside the quote. You can write the
variable name and then add the string in the quote.
e.g.
name = “willy wonka”
Length of the String
You can find the length of the string using
stingname.length
e.g.
name.length
Deleting Letters from the String
You can delete the specific letter from the string using
delete() method.
e.g.
2. name.delete('1')
Substitute Strings
You can use gsub in order to substitute the string in ruby.
e.g.
name.gsub(“wonka”, “wonka jr”)
Splitting String
You can split the string using split method.
e.g.
name.split(“,”)
