    • Your Name
    • Class Name
    • Keep it readable
  • 4. Inside Cover
    • Tape in the handout of laboratory safety rules.
    • Serves as a reminder of rules.
  • 5. Paginate
    • In the lower outside corner, write the page number
    • Start at “1”, last page should be “200”
    • (We do not have time in class to complete… finish as homework)
  • 6. Page 1
    • Write “ Table of Contents ” on the top line.
    • Topic references shall include title, date, and page number
    • Enter “ Vocabulary Words … page 180 ”
    • Enter “ UNIT 1: NATURE OF SCIENCE …. page 7 ”

    • Create a Cover Page for UNIT 1: Nature of Science
    • Draw a NEAT and COLORFUL picture relating to unit topic
    • Use the entire page for the words and picture
    • Affix a labeled tab to the page

    • Divide the right (odd-numbered) page into two sections
    • Draw a dark vertical line about 3 cm from the left side of the paper from the top to the bottom.

    • Write topic and date at the top of each page.
    • Enter this same information into Table of Contents

    • The large box to the right is for writing notes. Skip a line between ideas and topics.
    • Don't use complete sentences. Use abbreviations, whenever possible. Develop a shorthand of your own, such as using "&" for the word "and" .
