  55. 55. The Greater Context So we’ve looked at four apps. We’ve discovered that the main function of an app is to enhance people’s experiences for the better. As future (or current!) publishers, we need to start thinking about how we can creatively build positive, enriching experiences for readers. The better their experience is, the better results we’ll be bound to see. We may not be the ones to create the next Alice for the iPad phenomenon, but these are the things we should be keeping in mind so that we can increase the value of our products. As one customer said it best, “Apps need to be desirable enough to encourage people to part with their money.”Friday, 12 October, 12
