    Podcast On Mac - Presentation Transcript

    1. Podcasting on a Mac Lori Sheldon April 2009
    2. What you will need: • Keynote • iPhoto • Garageband
    3. Planning • Choose your topic. • Brainstorm your content. • Write your script.
    4. The Steps 1. Plan - create a storyboard and script. 2. Images - create slides to go with your words 3. Sound - add music/voice 4. Publish - send it to iTunes or put in on the web.
    5. Images • Create Keynote slides to accompany your words. • You can take pictures as well.
    6. How to: Images, Keynote • In Keynote, make sure to change the slide size to 800 x 800. • Go to “Inspector” • Click on the first icon, a page. • Go to slide side, click the arrows. • Pick “Custom Slide Size.” • Type 800 x 800.
    7. Create Your Slides • Take, and or, import pictures. • Add text.
    8. Slides Finished... • You need to send your slides to iPhoto. • Go to “File.” • Choose “Send to, iphoto” • Name a new album and send them.
    9. Garageband (Overview) • Open Garageband • Select “Podcast Episode.” • Bring in your slides. • Add music if you choose. • Record your voice.

    13. Add Music • Use premade loops or use your own music. • Be careful not to violate copyright.
    14. Adding Premade Loops • Depending on your version of Garageband, the “Loops” icon could be in several different places. Look for this symbol and click on it.
    15. Adding Music from iTunes (1) 1. Click on the media browser. 2. Click “Audio.” 3. Select your song.

    19. Publishing & Sharing Options • Send to iTunes to be viewed on one computer. • Export it and burn it to a disk. • Export it to be put online. (wiki, podbean...)
    20. Sharing & Publishing • Depending on your version of Garageband, the sharing options will either be under “File” or “Share.”
