    4. 4. Presently, promoting your stories to all the differentsocial media sites takes too much time and energy.
    5. 5. You want to expand the reach of your stories using less effort.
    6. 6. Let me show you how to get more distribution with less effort.
    7. 7. How you are creating anddistributing yourstories has been changing.
    8. 8. Here are some trends from the Pew Research Center’s 2011 Annual Report on American Journalism.
    9. 9. All news platforms are losing viewership... except the Web.Source: Nielsen Media Research, Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, Audit Bureau of Circulations.

    11. 11. Nearly 50% of Americans get news from mobile device.
    12. 12. More news is broken on the Web than ever before.
    13. 13. Social media has had a significant impact on journalism.

    31. 31. We have two primary Twitter accounts for distributing our content (@uwcesedtech @uwagguy).
    32. 32. We have one Facebook fan page for Extension withcountless fan pages for departments and programs.
    33. 33. We use Scribd to distribute our publications and bulletins.
    34. 34. We have one primary Youtube account with other secondary accounts.
    35. 35. We have changed how we post our news, wenow use WordPress to post our news stories.
    36. 36. We are using three tools to help maximize ourdistribution efforts across our content creation efforts.
    37. 37. We use Twaitter to post branding messages to Twitter.
    38. 38. We use Twitterfeed to send our news to Twitter and Facebook.
    39. 39. We have two “newspapers,” one for Twitter accounts we are following and one for news blog.
