Through its technical publishing, conferences and consensus-based standards activities, the IEEE produces 30 percent of the world's published literature in electrical engineering, computers and control technology , holds annually more than 850 major conferences , hosts 2 million documents in the IEEE Xplore digital library and has more than 8 5 0 active standards with 1300 standards and projects under development.
  • The IEEE is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 3 90 ,000 individual members in 1 6 0 countries. Region 8 has 74 ,000 members in 56 Sections . Greece Section is in the 9 th place with 2,000 members.
