  • 6. Appvocate Volunteer* During my educational career at ASU I volunteered for the SDAP program which allowsstudents with Intellectual Disabilities to attend college through a two year program. Thisparticular student was a recent graduate of Watauga High School and was able to takeCPR, Life guarding and Appalachian Music Studies classes. She will be living on campusbeginning Fall 2012. My volunteer job consisted of one hour a week spending time with thisstudent in the community visiting the library and various shops in Boone.
