  2. 2. ● ● ● ● Loimaa – situated not far from the biggest towns, Helsinki, Turku and Tampere Loimaa is one of the biggest cities in the area (since it’s the only one) The municipality of Loimaa was founded in 1921 and it became a town in 1963 Loimaa attracts people from the surrounding area to buy goods and services ● The basics (and a bit more) can be found in Loimaa and there are good railway connctions to bigger cities

  5. 5. Sightseeing! ● ● Even though Loimaa is a small and minor town, we have some places worth seeing, too Most of them are about the history of local area so if your interested in them, pay a visit
  6. 6. Atelier Torkville – Alpo Jaakola ● ● Alpo Jaakola was a professor of arts who painted with marker as well as did sculptures Torkville is the home of the artist and nowadays a property of Loimaa town The War (1973)

  8. 8. Farming museum Sarka ● ● ● ● The only farming museum in Finland They’re keeping farm animals during the summer It’s the key to the town’s history The museum was opened to the crowd in 2005
  9. 9. Nilan Bisons and Hurrikaani Loimaa ● Nilan Bisons is a basket ball team from Loimaa ● ● The team has succeeded very well in SM- league Hurrikaani Loimaa plays volleyball ● it’s now competing of the championship of Finland
