  • Who Does It Effect? Texting while driving affects you and everyone who you are important to. It also affects everyone you are driving on the road with. If you’re not paying attention to the road you can hit into someones car which might injure them. source
  • Did You Know In 2011 at least 23% of auto collisions involved cell phones
  • Some don’t think it’s a problem 77% of young adults are very or somewhat confident that they can text while driving. 55% of young adults drivers claim its easy to text while driving. Not only is it dangerous but it’s against the law. Source
  • According to recent reports, someone is injured or killed once in every 5 minutes on average in a crash that involves texting and driving.
  • Texting and driving kills more teens annually than drinking and driving.
  • Quotes “If you want to survive, don’t text and drive” “Don’t tempt fate, that text can wait” “Don’t drive inTEXTicated”
  • How can you stop this if you get a text message while driving wait until the car is stopped to answer it. its not worth picking up your phone and getting your life or someone elses on the line If you know your friend is driving don’t text them If you see your parent or friend or anyone texting and driving don’t be afraid to tell them to stop. Five seconds is the average time your eyes are off the road while texting which is more than enough time to get into a serious car crash.
  • Telling your friend you're on the way is not worth losing your life or someone elses. Source
