    • North Trail 2nd Grade Students learned about multiple careers courtesy of parent and community volunteers!
    • Where does ourenergy come from?Jason Haugen fromXcel Energy explainedcareers in nuclearenergy.He works at the PrairieIsland Power Plant.
    • Students learned what a computer software engineer does and howeducation can play a part in preparing for that career.
    • Students preparedquestions in advance andwere ready to ask theguest presenters whenthe time was right.
    • FSN North Sports broadcaster Kevin Gorg presented. Once ateacher himself, he is also the uncle of a North Trail Student and waswarmly received by the students!
    • Betsy Tupper, aCategory BusinessManager at PinnacleFoods explained howfood products sherepresents make it to theshelf at the local store.
    • Firefighter/Paramedic Chris Knettel described his work and showed students some tools of the trade.
    • Students had manyquestions forChris Tadevich, anAirline Pilot.
    • The Community Career Day was part of a unit on understanding what shapes acommunity. They made models and formed a “cardboard city” as part of the effort.
