Students at Meadowview Elementary in Farmington Minnesota collected pledges to assist the victims of Hurricane Sandy through a "Reading for Relief" program. A total of $5015.80 was collected and presented to the American Red Cross on Friday, December 7.

  • 2. The entire Meadowview Student body was on hand for the checkpresentation. They also learned more about hurricanes and how their dontations will be used by the American Red Cross.
  • 3. Principal Edwards presented the check on behalf of the effort to Kristen Peters of the American Red Cross.
  • 4. Third Grade Teacher Kay Hallstrom and her students shown along with Kristen Peters and Principal Edwards. Hallstrom was a key organizer for the effort.
