  • 1. LUNCH WITH AN INVENTORBOECKMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL – FEBRUARY 2013
  • 2. Students brought their lunch into the media center for the presentation.
  • 3. Author and Inventor Doug Cornelius kept the presentation moving, demonstrating various Minnesota inventions and innovations.
  • 4. Here’s an example of some of the inventions featured. His father Dick Cornelius revolutionized the self-service beverage industry, here shown with an earlier model and another popular beverage dispenser still in use today!
  • 5. Cornelius authored “Good News – I Failed” A story of Inventing in Minnesota.The book is intended to inspire the students to see new possibilities and create a culture where it is okay to fail in pursuit of improvements.
  • 6. The Boeckman Media Center was able to weave in some learning time along with lunch around a topic of interest to students.
