  1. 1. Collaborative ART PROJECT - India -UK

City Art <ul><li>This project involves exploration of city of partner school through art. </li></ul><ul><li>Pupils from BBPS Dwarka have made some paintings highlighting different aspects of their city Delhi </li></ul><ul><li>These pictures are sent to the partner school to share them with pupils and encourage them to draw their pictures in response and it back </li></ul>
  3. 5. Modern Delhi <ul><li>Artist has depicted modern Delhi with high rise building and metro passing through it . </li></ul><ul><li>Jantar Mantar in the background is iconic historical astronomical building used to depict Delhi </li></ul><ul><li>The second half of page has been left for pupils to partner school to complete </li></ul>

Qutub Minar <ul><li>Iconic tower of Qutub minar is another famous landmark of Delhi </li></ul><ul><li>It is victory tower of 14 th century erected by Qutub –ud –Din Aibak who ruled over Delhi in 14 th century. </li></ul><ul><li>It’s a favorite tourist as picnic spot for children . </li></ul>
  5. 10. My School in Delhi <ul><li>Pupils has drawn her school in Delhi complete with all its major landmarks –REDFORT, QUTUB MINAR, INDIA GATE AND METRO TRAIN in the background </li></ul>
  6. 11. Delhi ICONS <ul><li>Famous Delhi icons in the drawing include </li></ul><ul><li>QUTUB MINAR, INDIA GATE and METRO TRAIN. </li></ul><ul><li>The artist awaits city art to complement his painting from pupils in Staffordshire </li></ul>

  9. 15. Next step <ul><li>Pupils from partner school are expected to complete the picture by drawing on the other half of the sheet the city in which their school is located and then send it back for children to discover another city through the yes of their partners </li></ul>
  10. 16. UK Tapestry <ul><li>In this phase students were asked to research on the cultural diversity of Uk and depict as a colourful tapestry of symbols and Emblems . </li></ul><ul><li>The results were very encouraging .students worked in groups and made lovely motifs and described their significance in details </li></ul>
