Density_of_Water - Sixth A

 1. 1. Members : • Luciana Cenzano • Fabiana Brenner • Valeria Condorchua • Aaron Paredes • Ariana Ainzuain
 2. 2.

We are Group Number 1 and we are going to talk about “The Density of the Water “ . We are going to show the teory : “Why the Boats float on the water”

 3. 3.

• Mix plenty of salt (about 10 teaspoons) into half of a glass of water.

• Fill half of a second glass with fresh water ( no salt added to

this glass).

• Try floating an egg in each glass.

 4. 4.

You will find the egg will float in the salt water but not in fresh water. This is because egg is less dense than salt water but more dense than fresh water. Since salt water is more dense than fresh water, it is also easier to float in the sea.

 5. 6.

A good portion of the interior of any boat is air. The average density of a boat, the combination of the steel and the air is very light compared to the average density of water.

 6. 7. Thanks for attetion (:
