Domino Sugar Refinery Project
Set to begin in the fall of 2009
New buildings call for shops, open space, and 2,200 apartments
Built on an 11.5 acre site surrounding the refinery, in buildings of 30 and 40 stories

The seven-story building's will have 41 apartments over 46,000 square feet when it's done

Park Happenings
Bike path will be put on Kent Avenue as part of the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative
The BGI will eventually run along the waterfront from Greenpoint to Red Hook
The Department of Transportation has secured $9 million in funding for the project and started working on some sections of it already

More Park Happenings
The planned Bushwick Inlet Park will be located on the Williamsburg-Greenpoint waterfront
Will involve a multi-purpose athletic field finish by next summer and a maintenance building/community space that the city is looking to get done by summer 2010
When complete, the entire park will stretch over 28 acres

Starwood Hotels is set to open its first ever W Hotel in Brooklyn
Two Trees Management is set on converting an old five-story warehouse at 80 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg into a hotel
