    2. Songs For Swingin' Lovers! is an album by Frank Sinatra, recorded in the KHJ Studios, Hollywood. released in 1956. Elvis Presley was the name of Elvis Presley's debut LP. The album spent ten weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in 1956, the first rock 'n' roll album ever to make it to the top of the charts.
    3. Calypso is an album by Harry Belafonte, released by RCA Victor in 1956. The album is number four on Billboard's "Top 100 Album" list for having spent 31 weeks at number 1, 58 weeks in the top ten, and 99 weeks on the U.S. charts. The King and I - The soundtrack album, first released on Capitol Records, restored three songs recorded from the film but not included in the final release print. The soundtrack album was an instant success and continues to be a best seller to this day.
    4. Elvis is the second album by Elvis Presley, released on RCA Victor Records in mono, LPM 1382, in October 1956. It spent four weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart that year. Saxophone Colossus is one of Sonny Rollins' most acclaimed albums. Recorded and released in 1956, it has been awarded a rare Crown by The Penguin Guide to Jazz, and is widely considered the masterpiece of his mid-1950s series of recordings for Prestige Records and one of the greatest albums ever issued on that label.

Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Rodgers and Hart Songbook is a 1956 album by the American jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, with a studio orchestra conducted and arranged by Buddy Bregman, focusing on the songs written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Concert by the Sea is a 1955 live album by Erroll Garner, which was recorded in Carmel, California. The recording also features Eddie Calhoun on bass and Denzil Best on drums, and although it was produced using relatively primitive sound equipment, Garner's inventiveness and musical talent have ensured the album has become one of his most notable.
    6. At Carnegie Hall is the second album by The Weavers. The concert was recorded live at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Christmas Eve 1955. At the time the concert was a come- back for the group following the inclusion of the group on the entertainment industry blacklist. Ella and Louis is a 1956 studio album by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, and the Oscar Peterson Quartet.
