  • 4. 9. HAVE NO EGO
  • 5. THIS JUST IN: YOU JUST MIGHT NOT BE THE rock star YOU THINK YOU ARE
  • 6. 8. AVOID POLITICS AND RELIGION
  • 7. UNLESS YOU ARE presenting about politics or religion, BE WARY OF VOICING AN OPINION ON EITHER
  • 8. 7. AVOID PROFANITY
  • 9. At best, YOU MIGHT DRAW A LAUGH At worst, IT CREATES A SENSE OF AWKWARDNESS WHERE PEOPLE WILL CRINGE
  • 10. 6. NEVER PRESENT SOMEONE ELSE'S PRESENTATION
  • 11. THERE WILL BE no story, YOU'LL BE UNPREPARED, AND YOU’LL LIKELY END UP reading the slides VERBATIM
  • 12. 5. NEVER PRESENT FROM SOMEONE ELSE’S MACHINE
  • 13. STUFF INSTALLED or missing FROM THAT MACHINE MIGHT KILL YOUR PRESENTATION
  • 14. 4. DON'T LET ANYONE MAKEOVER YOUR SLIDES
  • 15. TEMPLATES THAT don’t need applying FONTS THAT don’t need changing IMAGES THAT don’t need moving
  • 16. 3. NEVER MOVE ROOM OR LOCATION
  • 17. UNLESS YOUR ROOM IS UNINHABITABLE, avoid changing rooms AT THE LAST MINUTE
  • 18. 2. NEVER MESS WITH PROFESSIONAL A/V EQUIPMENT
  • 19. RELY INSTEAD ON A DEDICATED A/V TEAM, TO help you out
  • 20. 1. NEVER FORGET YOUR PRESENTATION REMOTE
  • 21. HAVING A GOOD PRESENTATION REMOTE ALLOWS BETTER INTERACTION WITH YOUR AUDIENCE AND WILL unchain you from the podium
