– e.g. find a paediatrician ? How to find a school..
• go together for solving joint problems,
– for sharing knowledge and joy

Networking – new dimensions
• the Web2.0 „Community Internet“
– direct networking of millions of people
– Meeting in forums, chatrooms, platforms ,
– In social networks, business networks.
• e.g. cochlear groups in Facebook
• YouTube: millions of videos.: “cochlea” 1100
• Comments, articles
– to exchange opinions, interests and information
• really unique and new:
– millions can network & find friends through filters

• PC or (better) Laptop:
– new generation of “Nettops” - 400 €
– Wifi/WLAN/Hotspot ability
– Headset: earphones & microphone

– free/open source software (skype, Open Office,..)

• Broadband Internet access: where ?
– at home, Parents Club, Hotels with WLAN(Hotspot“)

– easy to upload photos and Videos → YouTube
– so called “rich media” = text, photo,video

– meet participants from whole over the world
– sitting comfortably at home, hotel, restaurant
– hold presentation, show your desktop, photos

Sharing is more than just Communication

– New understanding of open exchange of
information and knowledge (Wikipedia)
– Incredibly much information available cost free
• „Knowledge is power“: still valid, but
– no more having but rather sharing knowledge.
– Slogan “markets are conversations”
