      • … which issues must be considered?
      • Understanding Estonian higher education specificities:
      • The goals of the curricula;
      • Technological use in educational environments (community/communication tools, web 2.0, etc.)
      • Students’ expectations and habits;
      • Different higher education institutions and philosophies (academical, applied…).
      • Understanding the Bologna Process exigences:
      • Understanding the model transition;
      • Which demands are made to students and institutions;
      • The new need for autonomous learning;
      • Distance and life-long learning;
      • New curriculum expectations (in the bachelor’s degree, the master’s degree, etc.).
      • Defining virtual worlds’ place in education:
      • Successful and unsuccessful iniciatives;
      • Studying virtual worlds evolution;
      • Typical strategies (especially concerning tri-dimensional approaches);
      • Educational curricula integration;
      • Formal and informal learning;
      • Focus mainly on Second Life.
      • Moving into implementation: Building, inside SL…
      • spaces + strategies + tools + communities Testing them, eventually correcting them.
      • Potencialities?
      • Support to mobility students;
      • Programming skills learning platform;
      • Creation of discussion groups;
      • Cut on travel and formation expenses;
      • Rich educational environment, concerning user-experience: use of dynamic, visual and appealing elements;
      • Non-stop interactivity;
      • Set of communication tools (synchronous and assynchronous);
      • Mash-up with external technologies (LMS? External databases? Communication tools – IM, voice?)
      • Creation of common spaces to several educational institutios; cooperation and connection potentiated;
      • Creation of tools to support autonomous learning ;
      • Educational phenomena displacement; smaller need to rely on formal educational environments.
      • Formation plan?
      • Frequent meetins in-world;
      • Promoting informal activities;
      • Open spirit to users – use the space, help build it;
      • Integration on programming skills learning curricula;
      • Creation of coordination and developing team – explaining purposes and pointing the way;
      • External users participation (from outside the institution or even the country).
      • Inter-institution activities and programs;
      • In-world academical events promotion.
      • What about me?
      • Part of conceptualization, developing and research team;
      • Temporary member on coordination team (?);
      • Providing formation on SL-specific skills to team members (LSL, 3D modelling, communication tools, know-how…);
      • Creating tools to specific activities or spaces.
