3. Who is Nikola Gunev? A very young artist who has
a developed social sense, which he invests in his
paintings when choosing a creative theme – that is he.
Definitely a strong figurative artist, although with a
little artistic career, the authorboldly uses the brush for
interpreting the offended and humiliated, the poor and
disadvantaged. As a contemporary Georges
de Latour, he seeks and displays the inner light in his
paintings, sometimes even giving it the main role - that
of the spirit.
When the painting becomes a second nature to the
author we can expect strong,soulful and original
works. The author makes a claim for a future perceptive
and effective portrait maker. Now let us just enjoy
the talent of this young and pumped upfor creative
work artist.

12. Gulev Nicholas was born in Plovdiv in 1987
In 2001 – 2006 he graduated the "Tsanko Lavrenov" High School
of Fine Arts, Plovdiv - specialty painting.
In 2006 - 2010, he graduated the "Academy of Music, Dance and
Fine Arts" (BA inPedagogy of Fine Arts)
with course director Prof. Rumen Zhekov.
In 2010 - 2012, he graduated the "Academy of Music, Dance and
Fine Arts" (Master's degree in Painting)
with course director Prof. Rumen Zhekov.
In 2012 he was appointed as a PhD student in "Pedagogy
of Fine Arts" in the "Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts"
- Plovdiv.
Since 2010 he is a member of the "Association of Plovdiv
artists”.
He has made nine solo exhibitions.
Awards:
2011 - Annual Student Award in the category of Fine Arts' at
the Academy of Music,Dance and Fine Arts
2011 - Award and a certificate at the photo
competition "Life does not tolerate lies"
