  • 1. Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky Born in Moscow 16 December 1866 – 13 December 1944 He studied law and economics, he was very good. He started to paint at the age of 30 The Nazis took his pictures and destroyed them, they called it "Degenerate Art" Kandinsky’s earliest paintings were quite realistic. Then he moved a impressionist style where he began creating abstract paintings. He was interested in colour, he used colours to show his emotions or feelings. As he grew as an artist, his figures became less realistic until the viewer could no longer identify known objects in his paintings.
