  • 2. British Food <ul><li>Some people have their biggest meal in the middle of the day and some have it in the evening, but most people today have a small mid-day meal -usually sandwiches, and perhaps some fruit. The typical fruit are apples, bananas, oranges, … </li></ul>
  • 3. The three main meals day <ul><li>* - Breakfast-> Between 7:00 and 9:00 </li></ul><ul><li>^ - Lunch-> Between 12:00 and 13:30 </li></ul><ul><li>& -Dinner-> Between 18:30 and 20:00 </li></ul><ul><li>& Dinner ^ Breakfast * Lunch </li></ul>

British breakfast <ul><li>For British people breakfast is a very importan meal, beacuse in this meal they eat some fruit, meat, vegetables, and drink hot milk. </li></ul><ul><li>The typical English breakfast is a bowl of cereals, a slice of toast, orange juice and a cup of coffee. </li></ul><ul><li>In the winter many people will eat “porridge” or boiled oats. </li></ul><ul><li>The traditional English breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, </li></ul><ul><li>sausages, fried bread, baked beans and mushrooms. </li></ul>

British Lunch <ul><li>Lunch isn’t an importan meal for British people because they eat a lot for breakfast and they aren’t very hungry at lunch time. </li></ul><ul><li>The typical English lunch consists of a sandwich, a packet of crisps , a piece of fruit and a drink. They sometimes drink water, coffee or tea. </li></ul>
  • 6. Dinner <ul><li>Dinner is the most important meal in the life of British people. In this meal people eat a lot. They eat meat, fruit, bread, potatoes, lentils, tomatoes, pasta, soup … </li></ul><ul><li>The typical English meal for dinner is “meat and two veg”. One of the vegetables is almost always potatoes. </li></ul><ul><li>At dinner, British people drink juice, water, wine, ... </li></ul>
  • 7. Extra meals In British life ther are the three important meals and one extra meal. The extra meal is at “teatime” .
  • 8. Teatime <ul><li>Between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. In this meal British people eat cookies and drink tea and often coffee. </li></ul><ul><li>In this meal British people talk about their lives, good and bad news… </li></ul><ul><li>This meal is definitely very important for their relationships. </li></ul>
