  2. 2. <ul><li>Geography-water </li></ul><ul><li>Egyptians and kushites settled by the Nile River. </li></ul><ul><li>The Nile ended in a delta. </li></ul><ul><li>Fish are common in fresh waters. </li></ul><ul><li>People need fresh water to live </li></ul>
  3. 3. Geography Topography <ul><li>Deserts formed a natural barrier that protected people. </li></ul><ul><li>Where the river bends is a flatland that is perfect for farming. </li></ul><ul><li>When the river floods a blanket of silt is left which is perfect for farming. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Geography - vegetation <ul><li>Few vegetation was rare in deserts. </li></ul><ul><li>Floodwaters are perfect for an irrigation. </li></ul><ul><li>Vegetation is plentiful by the Nile River. </li></ul><ul><li>Sometimes reeds were weaved into baskets. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Pharaohs -King Tutankhamen <ul><li>Pharaoh Tut was the only pharaoh that was undisturbed. </li></ul><ul><li>King Tut died at 19 years old. </li></ul><ul><li>His coffin was pure gold. </li></ul><ul><li>Everything he ever played with was in the tomb. </li></ul>

  11. 11. Hatshepsut <ul><li>Hatshepsut was the first lady as a pharaoh. </li></ul><ul><li>Hatshepsut had most of the power in Egypt. </li></ul><ul><li>She even had 200 sphinx guarding her palace. </li></ul>
