The most powerful person in Egypt was the pharaoh. The pharaoh was the political and religious leader of the Egyptian people, holding the titles: Lord of the Two Lands and High Priest of Every Temple As Lord of the Two Lands the pharaoh was the ruler of Upper and Lower Egypt. He owned all of the land, made laws, collected taxes, and defended Egypt against foreigners.

Egyptians believed they would have a life after death.Only the high priest could preserve a body, first they removed the body organs,but only the heart stayed.The organs were put in jars and the Egyptians preserved them.the organs and body were dried out with natron salt. After 70 days they water and oil the body.then rapped in over 100 yards of linen,they decorated it with jewelry or lucky charms.They often put a helmet over the head.Then they put a gooey substance over the top and rap it once more.
