    • Egypt Put charms on the dead. Lasted more than 3,500 years. Ramses had more than 100 children and wives. That’s where they found Rosetta Stone. Rosetta Stone told their language.
    • Water
      • The Nile is the longest river in the world.
      • Can’t drink from the Mediterranean Sea.
      • The Nile flows north.
      • The Nile is surrounded by deserts.
    • Social Classes
      • Egyptians society was structured like a pyramid.
      • It took many years of schooling to become a scribe.
      • Egyptians in all social classes cherished family life.
      • People enjoyed a better life the higher the class.
    • Pharaohs
      • Were kings, generals, and religious leaders.
      • Khufu, King Tut, Ramses, and Hatshepsut.[was a lady]
      • Controlled mines filled with gold.
      • Got to relax while others worked.
      • Got treated great while peasants got bad treatment.
    • The Dead
      • Put charms on the dead.
      • Put honey on the mummy to get to the afterlife.
      • King Tut’s coffin was made of solid gold.
      • The pharaohs wanted immortality more than anyone.
    • Their Government
      • The pharaoh was at the top and peasants at the bottom.
      • Pharaoh got treated very well.
      • Peasants got treated very poorly.
    • Topography
      • Had a lot of desert land.
      • Had scorching days that were hard to get through.
      • Nights were freezing like an open fridge.
    • Priests
      • Still practiced the rules of immortality.
      • Only they could still read the hieroglyphs.
      • In the end the priests were killed.
